Lloyd Kim is a designer / animator who was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Seoul, and currently lives in New York City.

He received his BFA degree in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts in 2013. After graduation, he worked with various clients including: Verizon, Liberty Mutual, Viacom, Accenture, Regions, and Mutual of Enunclaw. He designed a font, Boztel, to create his animation “Hello my name is”. The animation won the TDC (Type Directors' Club) Award in 2013. Another work “Skyscrapers of NYC” was featured in a book, Design Elements: A Graphic Style Manual (Second Edition), by Timothy Samara.

Through his professional experiences he realized his passion for motion graphics and decided to pursue an MFA degree at School of Visual Arts which he received in 2017. With his learning experience, he started to work for NY1 News as a designer/animator after his graduation.
